Prescott Co-Kneader Advantages

The Co-Kneader, is a low-shear rotating and reciprocating single-screw extruder, that is designed for the continuous production of shear and temperature sensitive compounds. The flights of the screw are interrupted and interact with three rows of stationary kneading pins located in the barrel wall. The interaction between the moving flights and the stationary pins provide dispersive and distributive mixing simultaneously.

Axially split barrel provides for ease of opening for configuration change and cleaning. The segmented screw elements on a splined shaft and movable pins in the barrel wall along with temperature sensing and liquid injection pins makes it easy to change the process section configuration for different product formulations.
